Sound Equipment
You want to be sure they are using quality equipment designed for professional sound reinforcement.
A & A will be happy to provide you with a list of the brand names, model numbers or photos for any of our equipment.
Subcontracting
It's considered unethical to accept a contract and then sell it to another disc jockey or service for a profit--such practices are forbidden by most professional associations.
A & A uses only it’s own professionally trained staff, and it's against our policy to subcontract work to outside performers.
This is how we maintain such a high degree of quality and professionalism.

Written Contracts
You have the right to expect a written contract finalizing your agreement.
A & A uses a standard written contract that makes sense and spells out exactly what services you are paying for.

| Hiring a Disc Jockey
Some suggested questions you can ask to help you make the right choice when hiring a mobile disc jockey to perform at your wedding reception or any other celebration.
What are their Prices?
Once they have determined the type of event you are planning, the location and number of guests you expect, a professional disc jockey should be able to give you a firm quote for the services you need.
Keep in mind that if one company’s prices are well below all the other quotes that you receive, you may run the risk of getting exactly what you’re paying for.
A & A has a fixed price schedule so that each client pays according to the services that they need or expect.
Can They Provide You with References?
Checking a disc jockey’s references can tell you just how successful they have been at meeting the needs of their individual clients. The references should be people you can actually call and talk to and should include at least some persons who are in related fields such a caterers, photographers, etc.
A & A can provide you with an extensive list of references both from previous clients and local hospitality professionals with whom we have worked closely over the years.
How Extensive is their Music Library?
A professional disc jockey should have an extensive and varied collection of music in their library ranging from the golden oldies to the most current country, rock, R & B, or alternative dance music.
A & A has a library containing the widest variety of music available anywhere, including ethnic and specialty selections that are hard to find. We also use the internet to acquire special requests for our clients that might not be available locally.
Do they belong to any Professional Associations?
You will find that dedicated professionals will constantly try to improve and enhance the services they are able to offer their clients. They will subscribe to professional publications and belong to professional associations. They will attend national conventions and conferences and even belong to local associations trying to assure the quality of service available to clients in their area.
A & A subscribes to professional publications such as Mobile Beat and DJ Times and attends annual conventions in Las Vegas for mobile disc jockeys. We are members in good standing in the American Disc Jockey Association and the Triad Catering and Event Professionals Association.

Will They Stand Behind Their Advertising?
If they show a photograph of equipment or have it displayed at a trade show, will that or comparable equipment be used at your event, or is it just for show?
If they use a video for advertising purposes, are the local disc jockeys that will be doing YOUR event featured in the video, or is it a staged production produced elsewhere.
A & A is locally owned and operated. The personnel and equipment you see in advertisements or at bridal shows represents exactly what you will see at your event.
Keep in Mind...
Keep in mind that while the questions you ask the disc jockey are important, even more important are the questions that your disc jockey does or does not ask you.
If the disc jockey shows little interest in getting detailed information from you about what you do and do not want at your event, then they obviously have little interest in what you want your event to be like.
The best disc jockeys will try to get as clear a picture as possible of exactly what you want your event to be like so that they can do their best to make it unique and special for YOU.
