What is the difference between a disc jockey service such as
A & A and a franchise or booking agency?
A & A Disc Jockey Service is locally owned and operated. That means we can offer you personalized attention and are more sensitive to local and regional customs.
National franchises have huge capital behind them and can offer discount rates, but they also offer you a packaged or “cookie cutter” style of reception. When using a booking agency you can get a competent disc jockey “most” of the time.
However, no one actually works for a booking agency. Each disc jockey uses his own equipment and music and the style and degree of professionalism of his/her performance may vary greatly.
A & A uses only its own employees, all of whom have been through our extensive training program. We supply the professional quality equipment they use and the widest variety of music available anywhere.
Ultimately, A & A takes full responsibility for the quality of the service you will receive.

Will I be able to meet with someone to discuss the
details and arrangements for my event?
Definitely.
While it is not required, and we are perfectly capable of getting all the information we need through the mail or over the phone, our experience has shown that event coordinators feel more relaxed and less nervous if they have an opportunity to meet with us and go over the arrangements prior to their event.
Therefore, if your schedule allows, we recommend a meeting sometime in the last few weeks before your event.
What is meant by the disc jockey acting as
"Master of Ceremonies?"
We assume, unless requested otherwise, that our staff will act as master of ceremonies in announcing all of the events at your celebration.
And with our PartyPro Service Packages, we will work closely with your photographer and other professionals to make certain that people are in the right place at the right time for various photographs or other activities.
We are not wedding coordinators. The timing of your reception is completely up to you, but once you tell us you are prepared for a specific event to take place, we will make it happen for you.
How will we know which disc jockey
will be at our event?
We assign our disc jockeys based on several criteria.
Our first consideration is always to provide the best possible performance at your event based on the information you have provided us. If you request a certain disc jockey, every effort will be made to honor that request.
However, for your peace of mind, it is against our policies to subcontract out any work. Therefore, you will always be entertained by a disc jockey who is on our permanent staff and has been through our own extensive training program. And all of our disc jockeys operate under the same basic principal that has set A & A far above its competition for over 25 years: your satisfaction is our ONLY priority.
Will the disc jockey play from a
list of songs we provide?
Yes.
However, make certain you get everything you are paying for, we highly recommend that you keep that list to a minimum of favorites so that the disc jockey still has the flexibility to use his/her training and experience to try to please your guests and to respond to their requests as well.
While we do have the capability of playing exclusively from a prearranged play list, it means that we will no longer have any control over the success of the event.
Must I have a wedding coordinator
or director at the reception?
No.
Professional wedding directors can be a big help, but they are certainly not a necessity.
With our Pro Packages you need only have someone who can let us know when you are ready for the various activities. Once we are notified, we will do whatever is necessary to orchestrate the activities.
